FIFA executive committee has set presidential election for 26th February 2016 at its extra-ordinary meeting held on Monday in Zurich.

All 209 member association invited will decide on the successor to Sepp Blatter, who has been in office since 1998.

The reform topics discussed at the meeting include enhanced centralized integrity checks for executive committee members, the introduction of term limits, higher standard of governance at all levels of football structures including confederation and member association, as well as individual disclosure of compensation.

As the FIFA executive committee and world’s media gathered for the press conference, a British comedian, Simon Brodkin who is nicknamed Lee Nelson, threw paper money in front of Blatter as he was about to speak.
