Cricket: Bangladesh surpass South Africa at lunch on day three

Bangladesh have surpassed South Africa to take a four-run lead in the first Test in Chittagong after reaching lunch on 252-5.

The hosts ended day two on 179-4 thanks to half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah.

This morning, Dale Steyn was able to make an early breakthrough by trapping Mushfiqur Rahim lbw and sending him back to the pavilion on 28 runs off 61 balls.

Despite the blow, Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das were able to make steady progress and reached a 61-run partnership by lunch.

Al Hasan (32*) and Das (29*) will return to the crease for the afternoon session.
